About Plantorbia

Plantorbia is a plant care platform. It has two sides, built for different people, around one idea: a plant does better when someone keeps a real record of how it has actually been cared for. One side is an app for individual plant owners. The other is a separate product for nurseries and garden centers.

For plant owners

The consumer app tracks the plants you own, sends watering and care reminders that shift with your season and climate, identifies a species from a photo, and checks plant health when a leaf looks wrong. It runs in a browser and as native apps for iOS and Android. Guidance is based on what you have recorded for a specific plant, not a generic species care sheet.

For nurseries and garden centers

The nursery product covers what happens after a sale. Staff set the care details for a species once as a template, then hand a plant off to the customer's Plantorbia account at checkout with that schedule attached. The plant stays linked to the nursery, so a customer record builds over time: the plants they bought, the care they logged, their support questions, and any warranty claim. When a claim is filed, Plantorbia assembles the plant's history and a review state for a staff member to read. It does not approve, reject, or pay a claim on its own, and it is not a point of sale or inventory system.

How we treat the AI

Identification, health checks, and the care assistant use AI. We think how a model behaves under uncertainty matters more than whether one is involved. Plantorbia's is built to say when it is not confident, on a blurry photo or an unusual species, rather than return a confident-sounding guess. The same principle runs through the nursery side. The warranty review is a signal with its reasoning shown, never an automatic decision.

How we treat pricing

Nurseries get a real free plan, Basic, that is meant to be used, not a countdown to a paywall — plus 30 days of the full paid plan when they sign up for one (a card is required to start that trial, but nothing is charged until it ends). Individuals trial the full Pro plan free for a month on signup, card required but not charged until the trial ends, then continue on Pro or choose a different plan. Paid plans exist for collections and nurseries that outgrow a lower plan's limits.
