Plantorbia

Already have a POS? Keep it. Plantorbia handles what happens after checkout

This is not a "we win" page. A garden center POS or inventory system and Plantorbia are built for different parts of the customer journey. The POS runs the transaction and the stock. Plantorbia runs the relationship with the customer once the plant leaves the store. Most nurseries running Plantorbia keep their existing POS.

A typical garden center POS system

Rings up sales, takes payment, tracks stock and reorder points, manages suppliers, and often runs a loyalty program. It is the operational backbone of the store and it is very good at the job it does. That job ends at the moment of sale.

Plantorbia

Starts at checkout and runs after it. Puts your care guidance on every plant a customer claims, gives them reminders and health checks, keeps a customer record that continues to fill in, and hands your staff the plant's history when a warranty claim is filed. It does not ring up a sale or touch payment.

Do the two need to be connected?

Not today. Plantorbia does not integrate with POS systems in this version. A staff member records the sale in Plantorbia at the register alongside the POS transaction, entering the customer email and picking the care template. It is a few seconds of extra work per sale, and it is the point where the after-sale relationship starts. If direct POS integration is added later, this page will say so.

When Plantorbia is not the right fit

If you sell almost entirely to landscapers and trade accounts rather than individual plant owners, the customer care side has less to do, and the value is mostly the warranty history. If you do not offer any plant guarantee and do not want to field customer plant questions, most of the product does not apply. Plantorbia is built for nurseries and garden centers whose customers are people taking a plant home.
